ACOLYTES
Boys and girls 6 years and older, and adults, are trained to assist and serve in the worship services. We welcome new members, including adults, into the program.

ALTAR GUILD
This group prepares the sanctuary, the altar and the lectern, as well as the vessels and linens for the Holy Eucharist.

CHOIR
New voices are always welcome in both of our choirs. The Spanish language choir practices on Tuesday evenings; the English choir rehearses 1/2 hour prior to the Sunday 9:00 a.m. mass.

Damos la bienvenida a nuevas voces en nuestras dos corales. El coro del servicio en Castellano realiza sus ensayos los Martes en la noche; el coro en Inglés ensaya los Domingos media hora antes del comienzo del servicio en Inglés.

THE DAUGHTERS OF THE KING Their Rule of Life: Prayer and Service. The Daughters of the King, as a lay religious order, are dedicated to reaffirming their Confirmation vows by leading a life of prayer, service and evangelism, dedicated to spreading the Kingdom of God and helping in strengthening the spiritual life of the parish. GREETERS AND USHERS
Men and women who welcome and assist worshippers at all services in the church. They also record attendance, gather the offerings and straighten the books and pews after each service.

LOS UJIERES
Hombres y mujeres que dan la bienvenida y asisten a los feligreses en todas las ceremonias de la iglesia. Ellos también toman la asistencia, reciben las donaciones y ordenan los libors y los bancos después de cada servicio.

HEALTH CARE SERVICES
St. Simon's nurses and lay people go out regularly to assist and comfort shut-ins.

LAY EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS
Men and women licensed by the Bishop to administer the Holy Eucharist to shut-ins immediately following the main service of the week.

LAY READERS & CHALICE BEARERS
Men and women who are licensed by the Bishop and trained to carry out special ecclesiastical tasks during the services, including administering the cup and pointing the altar book for the celebrant.

LECTORES LAICOS Y PORTADORES DE CALIZ
Hombres y mujeres que han sido autorizados por el Obispo y debidamente instruidos para llevar a cabo determinadas tareas eclesiásticas durante la liturgia, tales como administrar el cáliz y sostener el libro del altar para el celebrante.

Parishioners who are appointed by the priest in charge to read specific lessons during worship services.

OUTREACH
St Simon's has a very active outreach ministry. Several charitable organizations are regular beneficiaries of their financial support.

* In lieu of stained glass windows, Saint Simon's has over twenty magnificent hand-made banners representing the Christian faith and God's love. All were designed and made by Sandra Robertson as part of her healing journey from a successful battle with cancer.

* En vez de vitrales, San Simón tiene más de veinte estandartes magníficos, hechos a mano. Estos representan la fe cristiana y el amor de Dios para con nosotros. Todos fueron diseñados y confeccionados por Sandra Robertson, como parte de su jornada de sanación en su lucha exitosa contra el cáncer.
